Hot on the heels of our Android widgets, Samsung has introduced support for widgets on the lock screen.
This is a new feature just for Samsung devices and isn’t yet part of Android’s standard system. Because of that, some behaviour might differ slightly from what you see on the home screen or on other Android devices.
We’re aware that the experience isn’t always perfect just yet. Some users have noticed that bits don’t always respond as expected, or that widgets might look or behave differently on the lock screen compared to the home screen. This is related to how Samsung currently handles lock screen widgets, and not something Android fully supports for all devices yet.
You can still use the widgets to get a quick view of your portfolio, top movers, or individual assets right from your lock screen. If something doesn’t behave quite right, opening the Delta app directly will always give you the full and correct view.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on how Android develops its official support for lock screen widgets and will make improvements as the feature matures. In the meantime If you notice unexpected behaviour or have thoughts about how the widgets could work better, we'd love you to share them with us on our Discord community.
Thanks for being a trailblazer trying this out while this feature takes shape and we look forward to making it smoother as Android support improves!
