Written by Jonny Taulen

A short guide explaining how you can connect Coinbase to Delta and start pulling your historical transactions and keep Delta Investment Tracker updated and give you accurate profit / loss as you continue trading.

  1. Login to Coinbase and head to Advanced API from your Coinbase Account.

  2. On the API page choose "Create API Key"

  3. Give it a name and choose the "Read-Only" option

  4. Press the "Create and download" and it will produce the below. press on the copy icon and paste into Delta.

  5. Copy over the ‘API Key‘ (in the top API key box, above the key icon) and paste this into Delta.

  6. Copy over the ‘API Secret‘ and paste this into Delta. This will be the only time you will be shown your API Secret so make sure to copy before closing the pop-up!

  7. Press 'I've saved my key' and your transactions and balance will be pulled into your chosen Portfolio in Delta!

Coinbase has a number of different API key formats and if you have Advanced Trading enabled you may be presented with a different way of generating your keys.

Your keys must be in the format above, including organizations/xxxx and -----BEGIN EC PRIVATE KEY

If you wish to use the Coinbase Developer Program to generate and manage your keys, please ensure the Signature Algorithm is set to ECDSA as below:

If you get stuck generating this key type please reach out to Coinbase who will be able to help you out with this.

If you have previous been using Coinbase Connect as a method of connection your Coinbase to Delta, Coinbase have retired this method so you'll need to switch to using the above method to get your Coinbase back up and tracking.
