A short guide explaining how you can connect Delta to Bitfinex to start pulling your historical transactions and holdings. This will keep Delta Investment Tracker updated and it will give you accurate profit/loss as you continue trading.

  1. Visit bitfinex.com & hover over the person icon in the top right of the navigation bar. Then hover over API keys and then click on Create New Key.

  2. Make sure the following checkboxes are ticked:

    1. Account Info - Get account fee information

    2. Account History - Get historical balances entries and trade information

    3. Orders - Get orders and statuses

    4. Wallets - Get wallet balances and addresses

    5. IP Access restrictions - Allow access from any IP

Give the connection a name so you know in the future the use of the API. For example, you can name it ‘Delta’. Leave any ‘Write’ checkboxes unticked and finally press ‘Generate API key’.

  3. You will be prompted to enter your 2FA code. After this, you may also be asked to confirm the creation of your API key via email as well.

  4. Copy over the ‘API Key’ and the ‘Secret’ into Delta, enter your settings, and then Add Connection.

PRO TIP: Due to API limitations with the Bitfinex API, you can only import the past 300 days of trades, withdrawals & deposits. You will need to manually add in any missing transactions created over 300 days ago.

PRO TIP 2: Are certain transactions not importing into Delta? Reading this guide might help you understand why it is not importing and how to fix it.
