A short guide explaining how you can connect Delta to Gate.io to start pulling your historical transactions and holdings. This will keep Delta Investment Tracker updated and it will give you accurate profit/loss as you continue trading.

  1. Visit gate.io, log in to your Gate.io account, and click on the profile icon.

  2. Click on 'API Management'.

  3. Select 'Create API key'.

  4. Give the connection a name so you know in the future the use of the API. For example, you can name it ‘Delta’. Then set the IP Permissions to 'Later'. Leave 'API Key Type' as 'API v4 Key' and leave Account Type as 'Classic Account'.

  5. Enable Spot/Margin Trade, Wallet, and Withdraw and make sure to set them to 'Read Only'. Then click 'Submit'.

  6. Now enter your fund password, select an authentication method and enter the 2FA code and hit 'Confirm'.

  7. Copy over the ‘API Key’ and the ‘Secret’ into Delta, enter your settings, and then Add Connection.

PRO TIP: You must have an Authenticator (TOTP) set up on your Gate.io account to create API keys.

PRO TIP 2: As this API is not bound to an IP, Gate.io will automatically disable it after 90 days. You will need to create a new set of keys once the 90 days have elapsed.

PRO TIP 3: Are certain transactions not importing into Delta? Reading this guide might help you understand why it is not importing and how to fix it.

PRO TIP 4: You can only create 20 API keys with Gate.io at one time.
